A weekly wrap up from each event in the UK Swing. Episode One – Betfred British Masters
After the European Tour returned to competitive action last week at Close House, we are pleased to introduce the first episode of the all-new Golf for Good Show, a weekly wrap up across the UK Swing.
First up last week was the Betfred British Masters, where Italian Renato Paratore showed no signs of lockdown rust in picking up his second European Tour title with a three-shot victory on the Colt Course. With this win, Paratore will rise to sixth on the Race to Dubai rankings.
But this was no ordinary week. Aside from not having any spectators at the venue, one of the other noticeable changes to the players’ weekly set up was the on-site testing provided by Cignpost. Every person visiting the golf course, whether it be players, caddie or staff, had to undergo a temperature check as well as COVID-19 test with the results turned around within just two to four hours.
There were also plenty of air bumps, fans had a chance to pick a final day pin while there was also time to highlight some amazing work from local heroes in the Tyneside area…
