There may have only been two European Tour events in January but there was no shortage of moments and great shots.
Shane Lowry and Bryson DeChambeau took home the two titles but it's Sergio Garcia that earned January's Shot of the Month award, voted for by the fans.
The Spaniard's shot won out against competition from Tyrrell Hatton, Richard Sterne and Pablo Larrazabal to win the year's first Shot of the Month title. Garcia's winning shot came on the famous seventh hole at Emirates Golf Club.
Out of position off the tee, Garcia's ball came to rest in the desert some 190 yards from the hole but blocked by one of Dubai's signature palm trees. Some players may have played safe, or targeted a long putt from the left side of the green. "El Niño" however took the aggressive line, bending his approach some 40 yards to set up an easy birdie.
