Everything you need to know from day one at Gary Player Country Club.
In-form Fox kept his foot on the gas, while Europe's Ryder Cup Captain put on a show as the 2022 Nedbank Golf Challenge got under way on Thursday.
Here is everything you need to know from the first round at Gary Player Country Club.
Fox hunting down McIlroy
Ryan Fox began the week second on the DP World Tour Rankings in Partnership with Rolex, knowing a strong finish could see him leapfrog leader Rory McIlroy ahead of next week's season finale in Dubai. And he got off to the perfect start, taking advantage of all the par-fives - where he made one eagle and three birdies - on his way to an opening 64 which saw him lead by one shot. Check out this stunning eagle at the 14th...
Captain Donald goes pin hunting
European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald may have other things on his mind as he works towards next year's biennial showpiece but he showed he is still more than capable of getting himself into contention with a superb display on Thursday. His flawless 65 earned him solo second spot, just one shot behind leader Fox. This phenomenal approach was right at the flag, so much so that he hit it!

How's your luck, Robert MacIntyre?
The Scot's luck was very much in when he got this fortunate bounce following an errant tee-shot...

When Lawrence met Player
It's not every day that you get to meet a golf icon just before you tee off, but that's what happened to two-time DP World Tour winner Thriston Lawrence on Thursday. He went into the first round with a spring in his step having just had a quick chat with South African great and nine-time Major Champion Gary Player.
