Matthis Besard made his first DP World Tour hole-in-one on the opening day of the BMW International Open.
The Belgian, who earned his card for the 2024 Race to Dubai through the Qualifying School last year, enjoyed a moment to remember as he hit a perfect seven iron from 161 yards at the par-three 12th.
Having teed off at the tenth, Besard was quickly into the red with his ace on his third hole of the day and he followed it up straight away with a birdie at the 13th.
However, he was back to level par after an errant second shot from the rough led to him taking a penalty stroke as he went on to fall back to level par with a triple bogey-seven in an eventful start to his round.
Bogeys on the 17th, first and second looked to have taken all the shine off his earlier moment of brilliance but the 24-year-old fought back with birdies on the fifth, sixth and ninth to sign for a level-par 72.
Since his graduation, the 24-year-old's best result so far this season is a tie for 13th at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship in January.
